Who knew patio furniture was just as expensive as living room furniture?!?!?! I refuse to pay outrageous prices for furniture that will literally collect dust and undergo every element nature brings. So I transformed my backyard the most affordable way I could, take a look...
The gazebo I bought from Sears. It is a "bay window" gazebo that was originally priced at $699 but I caught it on sale for $499. (was also able to put it on layaway for 8 weeks to soften the blow) Totally worth it in 100+ degree weather!
This 5 piece occasional set included the bench seat, two chairs and coffee table. It was on sale at World Market (Cost plus) for $199. I'm not particularly fond of furniture sets but it ended up being the cheapest way to go, and I could still mix it up with different colored pillows from Home Goods(which all happened to be on clearance under $10 each) as well as the vintage "stackable" chairs I purchased from Tuesday Morning ($29.99 each).
I accessorized with Home Goods décor of course
Garden stools in any retail store/online store are going for $150 all the way up to $500(Yes I saw one for $500!! Of course it was beautiful but I have no idea why they are so expensive!!))I went to Home Goods one day determined to find a stool this exact color for an affordable price and they did not let me down. I got this on sale for under $60 bucks!
Another look at my vintage chairs...out of every thing those were the most talked about piece! The outdoor rug I purchased from Rugsusa.com. It was originally $151 for 5x8 but they were running a 65% off sale and I was able to get it tax free for $52 with free shipping!!
Love my new backyard oasis!
