DIY PILLOW COVERS FOR UNDER $5!!!!!

If you don't know by now I am in love with pillows!!!! Every time I decorate a space I end up wanting more/different pillows. I went online looking for outdoor pillows for my patio furniture and found a variety of pillows that had the word "BEACH' written on them. Instead of spending $35 to $40 for a pillow I thought I would make my own.

I replaced four pillows that came with my sofa with store bought pillows, and stashed them in the closet. I decided to make pillow covers for those. Recycling these pillows saved me $7 to $8 each on pillow inserts.

BURLAP!!! I went to Hobby Lobby specifically for burlap and they had many different colors. I chose tan and only spent $3.99 for 1 yard of fabric!

After measuring and cutting I had my mom sew it for me. (Eventually I will probably get a sewing machine because I have a feeling I will be making my pillows for now on)

I bought these stencils from Hobby Lobby for about 2 bucks, but the stencils ended up being two small for the large pillow so I took them back.....

I didn't like how the letters came out after printing them out off of the computer....So I decided to freehand the letters. I wanted the B and the H to be the same height and slightly larger than the other letters.

The paint I used was leftover Sherwin Williams paint Watery, the same paint I used for my powder room.

Loved the way it turned out. Just waiting for it to dry!
