My little beach house

I like to call my place my little beach house. I love the beach chic, cottage chic, shabby chic, or what I personally like to call "rustic chic" style and I wanted to incorporate that throughout the whole house. I'm in love with just about anything rustic, paired up with my favorite colors coral and turquoise. I like to keep all things neutral but mix it up with splashes of color. I absolutely HATE matchy matchy furniture. I can't walk into a regular furniture store and just by a bedroom set or living room set that matches, its boring and ugly! It will take me months to get my place the way I want it and I think its waaaaaay more fun that way! I like to take different pieces that wouldn't necessarily go together but tie them in with accessories that will make it work, hence my style rustic ECLECTIC chic. Love to mix things up a bit and below is a picture of this new bedding I found at my second favorite store Home Goods. This is the most you will ever see me match anything.

Pillows, pillows, pillows I'M IN LOVE WITH THEM. This is my mid-spring/summer bedding for now. I was in Home Goods and saw this coral colored, ruched pillow and thought I had to have it. I saw the floral quilt that went with it and thought I could mix it up with my existing bedding. This picture really doesn't do the blue pillow on the left justice but it is a Tiffany blue and I bought a set of two from Target for under $16 bucks. The other blue pillow is on my sofa in my master sitting room. The Simple is Beautiful pillow was a splurge. Saw it online on RUGSUSA.com and had to have it. It was $40. (Normally what I would do is Google SIMPLE IS BEAUTIFUL pillow, and buy it from the store that sells it the cheapest....BUT I DIDN'T THINK ABOUT IT THEN!  Right now it is $22 at Target.com, but I ended up buying a rug with this pillow so at least I got free shipping! (I tell myself I got free shipping to make myself fell better about how much I spent on that pillow...hey you will see me splurge if its something I have to have. Doesn't happen often....)

Its kind of cut off there but I bought a creamed colored ruffled bed skirt from Bed Bath and Beyond to put on top of my box spring. It was $29.99, but of course I had a 20% off coupon to use!
The sheet set I bought are a cream ribbon pin stripped Hillcrest Luxury Line sheets, I bought luxury sheets FOR LESS at Marshalls. You would spend $70 in a regular store on a queen sheet set like the one I bought but because I went to Marshalls it was only $35.99. What a deal and OMG the sheets feel sooooooo amazing!

All that luxury on top of a rustic bed. I got a crazy deal on this bed from RCWilley.com This queen size bed(headboard, footboard and side rails) was on clearance online for $199.99. It took me and my mom about 2 hours to put it together but it was worth it. It was originally$499.99!

This rug was a steal! ****Disclaimer If you have never gone shopping for a rug you may think I was crazy for spending this type of money on one. (Trust me, had someone told me I would be spending this much on a rug 2 years ago I would have thought they were crazy)

RugsUSA.com had a 75% off Christmas sale last December and I could not resist(Even though I didn't have a place to put it yet) This 5x8 rug was ORIGINALLY $400, BUT I spent $100, and I got free shipping. I absolutely love this bright green/teal/turquoise rug below my rustic bed and above my rustic floors.
